Pilates Pink Ribbon Program

The Pink Ribbon Program founded by Doreen Puglisi, is a post operative exercise recovery program for Breast Cancer patients.  While Doreen, an exercise specialist, was working with her clients who were Breast Cancer survivors she saw a need to design a specific exercise program for them. She eventually became a survivor herself and was able to tailor the program even more to this special population.

Pilates teachers and exercise therapists become certified as a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist after taking this training and can help survivors to regain full range of motion to those areas affected by breast cancer surgery.  This program is suitable whether was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels.

The benefits of the Pink Ribbon Pilates Program are

  • Helps regain strength and mobility
  • Enhance energy levels
  • Help control weight
  • Improve sleep
  • Improve self confidence and control
  • Reduce feelings of depression
  • Enhances physical and mental well-being

A Breast Cancer Exercise Therapist is qualified to assess, design and implement individual and group exercise fitness programs. A BCES is trained to understand the entire breast cancer process.
