Pink Journey Angels

“You have cancer,” my primary physician told me in October 2016, “but, the good news is, it’s treatable and it’s curable.” That was what I needed to hear. I was looking into a deep dark tunnel, but there was light at the end. “Aggressive, invasive, ductal carcinoma, stage 3,” said my surgeon. “Aggressive, chemotherapy, surgery, then radiation,” said my oncologist. “Where did my hair go?” thought I. Doesn’t matter, it took over half of that tumor with it,” I rejoiced. 2017 brought successful surgery, healthy new breasts and cute new hair. I looked into that dark tunnel and came out the other end with a new appreciation for the beauty of life and our world that I want to share with everyone I meet.
