Pink Journey Angels

My Granny had breast cancer at 27 years of age and again at 75. When my Mom was diagnosed at 61 years of age, it really hit me hard. Because of my Granny, I started having mammograms at 35 … I didn’t want “that” to happen to me! I kept being vigilant. I thought that I had “dodged the bullet.” In June 2014, it was my turn and it was a shock! I was 64 and I HAD CANCER. It was a slow growing, lobular cancer but because of my family history, I decided to have bilateral mastectomies with reconstruction. Through it all, I tried to be positive. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
