Pink Journey Angels

Sherry

My fear was overwhelming when I was diagnosed in 2004 with IDC. I had never been sick or had any surgeries before. That's when Dr. West helped me turn Fear into Faith. After going through a mastectomy and chemotherapy, I survived and am once again thriving. I became a Pink Journey Angel in 2005, and now I am a 16 year survivor. I knew I would be a great Angel because I wanted to give back and be part of ladies lives that need a hand to hold as they begin their journey. The bond of love, friendship, and appreciation, is a bond of unity and strength in sharing this ugly disease, giving us knowledge and power. Becoming an Angel is always about making a difference in the life of the newly diagnosed. Every day is a day of gratitude! After 16 years, I still have passion to help other women and fundraise for this cause and particular foundation because I know they go the extra mile. I'm a survivor, and many of these Angels have been in my life from the beginning, it's a happy dance every day.
